Fins & Things is a roller coaster of a 4×4 trail. The trail is one way and difficult. There is steep slickrock climbs and descents throughout the trail and is easiest to do with a short wheeled-based vehicle. The south loop is 2.7 miles, while the north loop is 6.3 miles depending on traffic. Helmets are strongly encouraged.
From s 400 E on the east side of Moab, take Mill Creek Drive east .5 miles. Continue straight uphill at the cemetery on Sand Flats Road for 1.7 miles. After the entrance to Sand Flats Recreation Area, drive for another 1.9 miles to Campground E on the right and follow the signs to camp spot E6. The trail is well marked.
